Engagement Cakes we have made
An engagement cake sits in the middle of the photographs, so we design it to be looked at. The usual language is white and gold, blush and ivory, sugar roses, a ring motif on top, sometimes a two-tier build so it has presence on a decorated table. Roka and ring ceremonies at home are often served from a 1-2 Kg cake; a hall or banquet setting usually wants two or three tiers. Every cake is 100% eggless, in any of 19 flavours, and on a tiered cake you can put a different flavour in each tier.
Pricing starts at ₹2,500/Kg and moves with size and hand-work — most engagement cakes land between ₹3,500 and ₹10,000. Simpler designs need about a day's notice; tiered cakes with sugar flowers are better with two or three days. We deliver within 25 km of our Sector 47 studio in a temperature-controlled cab, assembling tiered cakes at the venue, with the delivery charge calculated by distance at checkout. Questions people ask us
Can you make the ring on top of the cake, and is it edible?
The ring is modelled in fondant, usually on a small cushion or inside an open box, and it is edible. We would not put the real ring on a cake, as it has to come off and be cleaned before anyone can use it, and the moment on the table is worth more than the prop.
Can the cake sit on a rotating or levitating stand?
Yes. Those are display rigs rather than part of the cake, so they are not edible and they come back to us after the function. We provide them on a returnable basis against a fully refundable security deposit. Tell us when you order, because the cake has to be built to sit on one.
