A single-tier cake in a dark finish with one modelled object on top and nothing written across the front. The message goes on the board instead, or on a small plaque. It photographs well and it does not announce itself when it comes out of the box in an office.
Can you put his car on the cake, in the right colour?
Yes, and send a photograph of the actual car rather than the model from a brochure — the colour and the wheels are what he will check. We model it in fondant. A recognisable car needs a 1.5 Kg cake or larger; below that the proportions go wrong.
Is there anything that reads as a husband cake without being a hobby?
A photo cake works, printed in edible ink from a picture of the two of you. The other one families come back for is a shirt-and-tie cake, finished as fabric with a real-looking collar, which suits a fortieth or a promotion.
Can it be a surprise delivery at his office?
Yes. Give us the office address and a time, plus a phone number for someone at reception rather than his, and we deliver to them. The cake travels in a temperature-controlled cab and should go into a fridge if the cutting is more than a couple of hours away.

Most designs need about a day's notice — a little more for a sculpted object. We deliver within 25 km of our Sector 47 studio in a temperature-controlled cab, with the delivery charge calculated by distance, and can time it for after office.
