What makes a Sonic cake read correctly is the ground, not the character. The chequered brick pattern from the first level wraps around the base, green palms rise behind, and Sonic himself leans into a run across a blue sky — get those three right and it is unmistakable. From there you can add gold rings on wires, a loop-the-loop arching over the top, Tails or Knuckles alongside, or the number cut in the game's own yellow. Anything red and gold reads as Knuckles, so we keep the palette deliberate.
Sizes start at 1 Kg, with 2-3 Kg usual for a party. Pricing runs from ₹2,500/Kg, so the Sonic cakes here are ₹3,750 to ₹7,500 by size. Every cake is 100% eggless and available in all 19 flavours. Questions people ask us
Do you make the film Sonic or the game Sonic?
Both, and it is worth deciding before you order because the two look quite different. The film version has the softer face and the fuller fur, while the game version is the sharper, flatter shape most parents picture. Send the image your child would recognise and we will model to that one.
Are the gold rings edible, or do they come off before cutting?
The rings themselves are fondant and edible. The ones held up in the air sit on a wire that is not edible, so those lift off before the cake is cut and we point them out when we deliver. Rings resting on the board or against the side of the cake can go straight onto a plate.
Can Sonic be standing mid-run rather than lying flat on top?
Yes. A standing Sonic is modelled in the round and set on an internal support so he holds the running pose all evening, and the support comes out before cutting. On a 1 Kg cake there is not much footprint for a standing figure, so a hand-painted Sonic on the front is often the better call at that size.
How big does the cake need to be for the track and the loop?
The chequered ground needs width before it reads, so 2 Kg upward is where a Sonic cake starts looking like the game rather than a cake with a character on it. Two Kg serves sixteen to twenty. A loop arching over the top wants that width too, or it crowds everything else on the board.
