Car & Racing Cakes we have made
Car cakes work best when the track is part of the cake rather than a picture on it. We build looping fondant tracks around a two-tier base, checkered flags, tyre stacks, traffic cones and a finish line with the birthday number on it, with die-cast cars placed on top. Other builds go sculptural — a single car carved and hand-painted, a Hot Wheels orange track running off the edge of the board, or an F1 pit lane. Toy cars and figurines can be included; where a design needs them, the cost is finalised over chat because it depends on what we source.
Sizes start at 1 Kg and most children's parties take 2-3 Kg, priced from ₹2,500/Kg with themed designs generally landing between ₹3,500 and ₹10,000. All 100% eggless, in any of 19 flavours. Most designs need about a day's notice, and carved single-car cakes are better with two. We deliver within 25 km of our Sector 47 studio in a temperature-controlled cab, with the delivery charge calculated by distance at checkout. Questions people ask us
Can you carve a particular car, even the one parked outside?
Yes, and it is one of our favourite briefs. Send photos from the front and the side, and tell us the colour if you know it, and we carve the shape and hand-paint it. A carved car is more work than a track build, so it wants two to three days rather than one, and it sits at the upper end of the pricing.
Do the toy cars come with the cake, or do we send our own?
Either way works. Plenty of parents hand us the child's own favourite car so it goes home again after the party. If we source them, we confirm the cost with you over chat before we start, because it depends on what we find. Toy cars are not edible and lift off before the cake is cut.
Do you have a rotating or moving display stand for the car?
We do, the machines that turn a cake slowly or hold it up as though it is floating. They go out on a returnable basis against a security deposit that is refunded in full once the stand comes back to us. They are display props rather than anything edible, and they come away before the cake is cut.
Can the birthday age go on a number plate or the finish line?
Yes, and both read better than writing it across the top of the cake. The age works as a number plate on the car, as the race number on the bonnet, or on the finish-line banner over the track. The name usually goes on a pit board or a road sign beside it. Send us the spelling and we will place it.
