Questions people ask us
Modelled character or an edible printed picture?
Both cost the same and it is worth choosing deliberately. A modelled figure stands up, photographs properly and gets kept on a shelf afterwards. An edible print is flatter but reproduces a specific frame or a group of characters exactly. For one character we would always model it; for four or five together, print.
Can you do a character that is not in these photos?
Yes. Send two or three pictures from different angles and we model from those. Motu Patlu, Chhota Bheem, Ben 10 and Pokemon all come up regularly and are all straightforward. Tell us the character's colours matter to your child and we will get those right first.
Is fondant all right for young children to eat?
It is edible and safe. Most children pick the modelled figure off and leave it, which is fine. We keep the fondant for the character and the details and finish the rest of the cake in buttercream, so the slice a child actually eats is sponge and cream rather than a sheet of icing.

The cartoons Indian children actually ask for are not the ones on the imported cake charts. It is Doraemon almost every time, then Shinchan, then Tom and Jerry, and we model all three by hand rather than printing them, because a flat printed face on a round cake never looks like the character. Doraemon works best as a modelled figure sitting on a blue-and-white cake with his bell and pocket; Shinchan as a figure on a bright yellow-and-red base; Tom and Jerry as a chase around the sides with the cheese and the mousehole at the bottom. Any other character can be modelled from a picture.
A 1 Kg cake holds one modelled character comfortably, 2 Kg holds two with a scene. Sizes start at 1 Kg from ₹2,500/Kg. Every cake is 100% eggless and available in all 19 flavours, which matters at a children's party where the guests are other people's children. Most designs need about a day's notice. We deliver within 25 km of our Sector 47 studio in a temperature-controlled cab, with the delivery charge calculated by distance, and can time delivery around a party start.
