Are the butterflies edible, and is the wire safe?
The butterflies themselves are edible — wafer paper or thin fondant, hand-painted with food colour. The fine wire that lifts them above the cake is not edible. It pushes into the icing rather than the sponge, and we take every wire out before the cake is cut. If you would rather have none at all, we set the butterflies flat against the tiers instead.
Can the fairy be a specific character rather than a generic one?
Yes. Tinker Bell and the Barbie fairies are the usual requests, and both are modelled by hand in fondant. We can also model the birthday child as the fairy — send a photograph and we match the hair and the dress. A modelled figure needs a 1.5 Kg cake or larger to sit in proportion on top.
Will the mushrooms and flowers survive a Gurgaon summer?
The modelled pieces are fine; it is the buttercream underneath that suffers. Cakes travel in a temperature-controlled cab and should go straight into the fridge on arrival, then come out about thirty minutes before cutting. For an outdoor afternoon party in May or June, ask us for a fondant finish instead of buttercream, which holds far better in the heat.

The fairy garden is the most forgiving theme we make, because it is built from small pieces rather than one likeness that has to be right. Red-capped toadstools are modelled around the base, a tiny hinged door goes into the side of the cake as though it opens into the trunk, and pressed sugar flowers and moss run up the tiers. Butterflies are the part people remember: cut in wafer or fondant, hand-painted, and set on fine wire at different heights so they appear to be mid-flight rather than stuck on. A dusting of edible glitter catches the light in photographs without turning the cake silver.
It scales in both directions — a single 1 Kg round with three toadstools and two butterflies reads as clearly as a three-tier garden. Sizes start at 1 Kg from ₹2,500/Kg. Every cake is 100% eggless and available in all 19 flavours. Most designs need about a day's notice. We deliver within 25 km of our Sector 47 studio in a temperature-controlled cab, with the delivery charge calculated by distance. The wired butterflies travel laid down and are set upright at the table, which takes about a minute at handover.
